      I am a big Cake fan, but was very disappointed in the New Year's Eve show. The first song that Cake played had several places where all of the band members were off. John McCrea was consistently... Expand

      I am a big Cake fan, but was very disappointed in the New Year's Eve show. The first song that Cake played had several places where all of the band members were off. John McCrea was consistently behind the beat every time he sang. I am not sure if his monitor was bad, he was sick (he mentioned this in one of his many long dialogues), or he drank too much before the show. He also seemed to be in a fowl mood. I would have enjoyed the show more had the music been hitting the beat and the lead getting the crowd excited about being there. Collapse
