Presented by at The Long Center for the Performing Arts

    September 27 - October 3, 2010

Blue Lapis Light presents its latest site-specific aerial dance work, One, at the Long Center for
the Performing Arts. Dancers will perform on the ring and columns of the innovative concrete
structure. Since 2006 Blue Lapis Light has transformed prominent and historic buildings in
downtown Austin into meaningful works of uplifting beauty. One is inspired by the modern
    architecture of the Long Center.

It follows the ongoing mission of Blue Lapis Light to create original, transcendent works that
become visual moving prayers for the planet. Dancers defying gravity touch the soul, creating
    beauty, wonder and possibility.

These site-performances bring focus to a location, its history, its community and its architecture.
Blue Lapis Light's aerial works are etched in the memories of demolished buildings, on downtown
structures, and in the audiences who have witnessed these performances.
