Inspired by Romare Bearden’s images of community, come together with old and new friends alike to share one of life’s sweetest treats while enjoying live music. Carol Dawson will get the conversation started with stories about pie socials.

Carol Dawson is an artist and writer. She is the author of four novels, including The Mother-in-Law Diaries, and has also written for Texas Monthly, Southern Living and other publications and is the co-author of the recent book, House of Plenty: The Rise, Fall, and Revival of Luby's Cafeterias.
