Why go? The Austin Museum of Art’s annual international food and wine tasting event is held on the shores of Lake Austin at AMOA-Laguna Gloria. Experience the decadence of a night in “the sweet life” at the 21st Annual La Dolce Vita Food & Wine Festival. Savor bites from more than 50 of Austin’s most prestigious chefs. Sip fine wines and cocktails from Texas and around the world from Twin Liquors and local vineyards and spirit producers. Visit the Scotch and Cigar Lounge with your friends while enjoying majestic views of the Laguna Gloria grounds. La Dolce Vita was awarded "Best Food Event" by the Austin Chronicle Restaurant Poll 2008. Join us to celebrate this cherished event on October 14, 2010 from 6-9pm.       My oldest friend invited me to go with her to La Dolce Vida. Boy was I glad that she did. I was having a really stressful week and I was looking forward to spending the evening with her but I had no idea how much fun I was going to have. We get there pick up our plates and wine glasses and start right away for the nearest wine booth. We started filling our plates with all kinds of yummy things and before we knew it we were so full! We loved the photo booth by Annie Ray - super fun - and the liquor tasting area was quite a treat. By the end of the evening we were so glad to find the booth with the coffee! The night was so great, the weather was perfect and the food was just divine. By the end of the evening I had a sunnier disposition and was feeling great. I can't wait for next year! Collapse

      This was my first ever experience at La Dolce Vita and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I was blown away by the shear size of the event. I knew it would be big but this was so much more than I could have expected. Upon entering the grounds I was greeted by one of the anonymous performers in a bright red body suit. It was difficult to decide which direction to go in. So many booths with all kinds of food and wine to try. From the Frito Pie by Ranch 616 to the incredible Saag Paneer from Taj Palace, I was just in heaven. I filled up on food and drink and I only hit about a 1/4 of the booths. I know that next year I'll pace myself, take more time wandering the grounds of Laguna Gloria and maybe even spend some time on the dance floor. I highly recommend attending. It was a night I'll never forget! Collapse
