Add Review/Comment
Christopher Cross was far and away the biggest new star of 1980, virtually defining adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads. His self-titled debut featured four massive chart-topping hits, "Ride Like the Wind," "Sailing," "Never Be the Same" and "Say You'll Be Mine," making him a bonafide superstar. This status was cemented when he walked off with a record-setting five GRAMMYs in 1981, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year. Cross also earned an Academy Award for his song, with "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," from the movie, Arthur starring Dudley Moore.
