A woman seeks lessons from a pool shark, hoping to avoid the cycle of nightmares that visits her every year on her birthday. But will his game of 8-ball be a match for her buried secrets, or will she be sunk?

About the Playwright
Monika Bustamante is a founding member of Shrewd Productions, as well as a member of Austin's Hyde Park Theatre Core company, and a ten-year member of Austin Script Works. Her writing has received accolades from the Kennedy Center Playwrights Intensive, the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, the Princess Grace Awards, WordBRIDGE, the Harvest Festival of New American Plays, Austin Critics Table, and others. She received her MFA in Playwriting with James A. Michener and Jules Hexter fellowships from the University of Texas at Austin.
