The Jackie Myers Band plays original funk tunes that are somewhat influenced by both jazz and blues.
Jackie Myers, the group's composer, has been playing piano since she was a wee 5 yr old growing up in Washington DC. A graduate of Grinnell college with a degree in music, she was the first student ever to compose for the Jazz Band and has studied with Gabriel Espinosa. She is currently the piano player for The Republic of Texas Big Band.

Ben George is a whiz kid sax player. His influences include spaghetti, meatballs and marinara sauce.

Shirley Fraser has been playing around Austin for about ten years. Trained classically, she started seriously studying jazz with Alex Coke about seven years ago. She just completed a one-year stint with Paul Sonnenberg's Trio Bossa Nova.

Robert Fulton plays bass guitar like it's on fire. He enjoys coin collecting and slappin da bass. bombaclot.

Jay Warren was born and raised in the beautiful Austin TX. He enjoys excessive hair products and hoodies.
