Circle Mirror Transformation stars Kenneth Wayne Bradley (BUG (see below!), Body Awareness), Katherine Catmull (me! Body Awareness), Rebecca Robinson (Sick), Xochitl Romero (Blackbird, Dog Sees God), and Ken Webster (The Collection, House, Thom Pain). And we're directed by HPT Artistic Director and Austin Arts Hall of Fame member Ken Webster (Body Awareness, The Collection, The Pillowman).

      To try to capture all the feelings this production left me with would be futile in 1000 Characters or less. I was belly- laughing at certain points and tearing up at others. The story is... Expand

      To try to capture all the feelings this production left me with would be futile in 1000 Characters or less. I was belly- laughing at certain points and tearing up at others. The story is simple;Five residents of Vermont take an acting class for various reasons that will become clear as the plot thickens. The goofy games they must endure are HILARIOUS (it would have been very easy to live alone off of the shtick this script offers) but what really gives this show it's umph are the well rounded characters, their demons, and the occasional painfully awkward pause that life throws them. We grow to care for each one of these folks despite their flaws...and isn't that what life is all about? Hyde Park Theatre's production of Circle Mirror Transformation provides a night well worth the price. Collapse
