About "Ahora Si":
Austin's newest Latin band, “Charanga Si” is the only traditional Cuban dance band. Charanga groups became popular in Cuba during the 40's and 50's and feature percussion, violin, and flute. Charanga is the mother of all Salsa music and is still popular today.
Individually, the members of “Charanga Si” have played in some of the greatest charanga and salsa groups both in Cuba and the United States, performed in orchestras around the world, and have worked in numerous other genres of music. They bring their unique experiences together to take you on musical journey back to Havana, Cuba. Get ready to dance!
