Think Outside the Bomb's National Tour is coming to Austin to spread awareness of the devastating effect of the nuclear industry and to build a movement for nuclear abolition. Despite receiving a noble prize for his vision of a nuclear-free world, Obama's Administration proposes to spend $180 billion to quadruple the US nuclear weapons building capacity. But we don't need more nuclear weapons; and Obama's proposal will do nothing to help communities devastated by years of uranium mining and processing, nuclear power and weapons production, or its deadly waste.
Be inspired by folk music performed by the amazingly talented Rebecca Riley.
Hear local perspectives on nuclear concerns from Robert Jensen from Third
Coast Activist and Karen Hadden of the SEED Coalition. Learn about an exciting campaign called Disarmament Summer.
The event will feature music, a hilarious puppet show, and spoken and written information calling for social and environmental justice around nuclear energy and weapons issues.
