“TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!” raves the New York Post for JERSEY BOYS, the 2006 Tony® Award-winning Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi. This is the story of how four blue-collar kids became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were 30. JERSEY BOYS, winner of the 2006 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album and, most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, features their hit songs “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” “IT WILL RUN FOR CENTURIES!” proclaims TIME MAGAZINE.

I can't find words to describe how great the show is. I grew up in South Jersey and saw the Four Seasons every year in Atlantic City for years. Being a musician myself, (I'm a drummer), my dream was to back the Four Seasons. Of course that was only a teenage fantasy. That being said, the musical" Jersey Boys" stayed true to the best thing about the Four Seasons, their music. The musicianship and vocals are second to none. The entire cast of skilled actors and musicians was a joy to witness. And being able to learn the life stories of these iconic artists, brought me even closer to their music I grew up loving. Many "Four Seasons" songs have been used to describe this wonderful musical: "Too Good To Be True" or "Oh What a Night"; and funny enough, they really do fit the playbill. Seeing "Jersey Boys" at Bass Concert Hall is as good as it gets. As good as being in the Big Apple. I highly recommend seeing "Jersey Boys", before they'll be saying "Bye Bye Baby" to Austin.

Stories of how a few songs were created were a fun treat.
I left the theater happy and I hope you will also. Enjoy!

particularly fond of "Cant Take My Eyes

this song came about in the story.
Frankie Valli played by Joseph Leo Bwarie was the perfect blend of innocence, sex appeal and of course that unforgettable voice. I would highly recommend this show. Leave the kids at home though. These are Jersey Boys, not
choir boys.

A Jersey boy has 3 ways to escape his Italian blue-collar neighborhood: join the military, the Mob, or become a Star. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons do two out of three as this production reprises their true musical genius. Jersey Boys is a triumph of music and story – a story delivered with aplomb via the cocky narrative of Tommy Devito (Matt Bailey). This show is fantastic! The music, dance, and set changes are one choreographed movement of fluid harmonies. Joseph Leo Bwarie (Valli) may be a better singer than his character, with more complexity and beauty at middle and lower registers. The scene when Bob Gaudio (Ryan Jesse) joins the group has electrifying layering of vocal synergy -- the Four Seasons were born. The entire cast excels, the sum is greater than its parts. With poignancy – even stardom can not take Jersey out of these boys. Jersey Boys gift wraps Valli and the Four Seasons anew – they are “working their way back to you” big time!

This is without a doubt my favorite show! The story behind the songs…that’s what it’s all about. The lives of the various members of the Four Seasons, and the roads they each took that brought them together as a group, is the premise of show. From mobster ties to teen scream sensation – the back-story of how the group was formed – is told with their hit songs woven throughout the show. The spot-on vocals of each of the actors, the great camera-work that takes us into the Ed Sullivan Show and on American Bandstand, the costumes and choreography…takes us on the trip down memory lane. A trip I want to take over and over! Do not pass up the chance to see the show and re-live the music - or if you're of a "newer" generation - discover the music for yourself!

Wow-Fun! Fabulous, fast paced musical with a wonderful cast of excellent performers. The show portrays the evolution of the band and the lives of the band members--struggles, successes, conflicts, heartaches, rise, fall, and reincarnations. Along with the wonderful musical numbers, this show is well written and humorous with good character development of the four leads. Joseph Leo Bwarie is adorable as Frankie Valli. He has a wonderful voice as do all the people in the show. I hope to see more performances by him and others especially Matt Bailey, Ryan Jesse, and Steve Gouveia. The choreography and musical numbers are very fun and appeal to a broad age range as seen by the audience of nearly 3,000 enjoying the show. I am so glad I did not miss Jersey Boys and highly recommend it. Go have a thoroughly entertaining, happy night at the theater.

If you enjoy early 60's popular music, you have to see this musical. The music is awesome. The singing is excellent. The story is fascinating. And the lives of the characters are so well presented. They will touch your heart, and your heart will sing. Joseph Leo Bwarie as Frankie Valli is exceptional, but all the actors are very good.
I would not take my 12-year old to this show based on language and content, so parents beware. You will learn about Jersey culture, which is not the Norman Rockwell cultural norm. It is to the show's credit that we see the good and the bad. It is not a one sided exaltation of Frankie and the boys. Don't wait another season to see this show!

Its an great performance! The singing is fantastic. I would have gone just to see a great Four Seasons cover concert, but then there's a good story too. Surrounding these mini-concerts is a documentary about the lives of these guys. Even if you know nothing about the band, its fascinating to watch. Its a show that bridges the gap for generations. Those who were around when these songs were released were trading stories in the lobby during intermission about 'the way things were', and most of those from the younger crowds couldn't believe they had grown up hearing all of those songs and never realized they were all from the same band. With that being said, its not really a show to take your kids to; there is a decent amount of profanity and mature subject matter. Aside from the music, there is not a lot there to keep a kid interested. As for myself and all those around me, there were good times had by all! Its a fun night.

It was fun to finally see this after hearing about it so long. Not quite my generation, but my mother played her Four Seasons album over and over, and my grade school girlfriends were named Candy, Dawn, and Sherry. It was not only a musical, but a comedy, too. I found it to be very funny, especially through the first act. It was very clever how the plot was divided into the Four Seasons. I had no idea what had really gone on in the group, and I won’t give it away so that you can witness the story unfold onstage. It brings the personalities to life and makes them personal. The costumes, images, and video are especially remarkable, as are the live filming and the way the band performed to different angles on the stage. It was too funny when they were bowing to our applause, although they were facing the back of the stage! I will never think of the song “Oh what a night” the same, now that I understand the “ended way too soon” part! Very fun and enjoyable show.

I was in high school when The Four Seasons recorded "Sherry", and my best friend back then was named...you guessed it...Sherry. She and I went on double dates with the boys who would eventually become our husbands, so hearing that song tonight brought back hundreds of memories. I was a member of the class of 1963, and this music shaped my adolescence and my early adulthood. Jersey Boys is a real treasure. I had tears in my eyes when it was over. This is a musical you should not miss. The music truly stands the test of time. And you will fall in love with the four boys who became the four men who became the Four Seasons. Oh what a night!
