    Join us this June through August for Sizzling Summer Musicals starring beloved stars from a bygone era at the Hampton Branch at Oak Hill, 5125 Convict Hill Road. Screenings begin at 6:00 p.m. in the large meeting room. All films are rated G. Sizzling Summer Musicals is free and open to the public.

    Monday, June 14 Summer Stock (1950) Starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly.
    As a favor to her actress sister, farmer Jane allows her and her theatre troupe to use her barn for their show in exchange for help around the farm but blooming love creates some heat between the cast, crew, and hostess.

    Monday, June 28 Top Hat (1935) Starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
    After demonstrating his new dance steps for his producer, Jerry Travers meets an annoyed Dale Tremont and the fireworks fly as confusion plays a role in this toe tapping romance.

    Monday, July 19 An American in Paris (1951) Starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron.
    The love lives of a struggling artist, an heiress and a young French girl all play out in the dazzling city of lights!

    Monday, July 26 Funny Face (1957) Starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire.
    In search of an intellectual background, photographer Dick Avery turns a bookstore upside down and finds his latest modeling sensation in the store’s homely clerk.

    Monday, August 9 Gigi (1958) Starring Leslie Caron.
    Weary of Parisian high society, a rich playboy finds solace in a tomboyish girl, only to fall in love with her after she matures into a beautiful young woman.

    Monday, August 23 Singin’ in the Rain (1952) Starring Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds.
    One of the most beloved musicals of all time, told during Hollywood’s late 1920’s transition from silent to sound motion pictures, it mixes comedy, romance, and boundless energy from its star studded cast.
