The Artspace Story

Come listen and respond to Artspace, the nation's leading real estate nonprofit developer for the arts dedicated to creating, fostering, and preserving affordable space for artists and arts organizations. Invited by Austin Playhouse to do a feasibility study for a new theater and live/work space, Artspace also wants to learn from you – your needs, questions and concerns, and your interest in having an Artspace project here. You'll also hear about their successful project models, how they work, and their economic and social impact in the community. Who should attend? All artists (actors, visual artists, musicians, etc.); arts organizations; community leaders; local, regional and state civic leaders; local proprietors; real estate developers; neighborhood residents; and the media. Presented as part of the Next Level program by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division in partnership with the Austin Playhouse.
