Join the Austin Public Library and Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Support Group of Central Texas for an MG Art Exhibit featuring the work of Enisa Bravo on display the month of June at the

Enisa Bravo, a Bosnian born graphic designer, was recently diagnosed with MG. Her art pieces reflect the debilitating effects of MG in raw form, depicting how challenging it can be to simply write a letter or put on a sweater if symptoms are present. Bravo is donating several of her pieces to the support group in recognition of MG Awareness Month. These pieces were part of her graduation project which began as a need to raise awareness of MG through visual communication.

“The purpose of our art show is to provide a voice for this chronic disease and increase awareness among Central Texans. Ultimately, our goal is to find a cure and improve treatments for those with the disease.” said Linda Ann Joslin, facilitator, MG Support Group of Central Texas. “A myasthenic myself, I understand how difficult it can be to do life, having to manage symptoms such as slurred speech; difficultly chewing and swallowing; double vision; weakness in the arms and legs; and muscle fatigue.”
