Courage: Stories About Standing Tall and Growing Strong
May 29, 2010
Add Review/Comment
For the better part of the 2010 spring semester, the fourth graders of Pease Elementary have been reading, writing, thinking and talking about courage. Working with their language arts teacher and a local photographer, these kids wrote about first-hand experiences calling for courage and what it meant to them.
The stories are varied and authentic and are beautifully illustrated with the kids’ own creative photography.
Collected in a handsome book, Courage: Stories About Standing Tall and Growing Strong will have its premiere public reading by its authors at Book People on May 29th.
Please come to hear the stories and meet the kids. A limited number of books will be available for purchase and signing by the young authors at the reading. Additional books can be ordered with pre-payment.
Light snacks and beverages will be served.
