A gorgeous celebration of America's local food heroes and traditions, Edible is a must-have for anyone interested in the local food movement, environmental issues, or just a great meal. The book profiles local food artisans who are making a difference and provides 80 seasonal specialty recipes that incorporate the very best local foods from every region of the United States. Ryder and Topalian cofounded the Edible Communities Publication, which brings us our own Edible Austin. Join us for food and discussion of this beautiful book.
Additional special guests and food featured in the book include Evelyn Fitzsimons from Thunder Heart Bison, writer and book author Robin Chotzinoff, Sustainable Food Center's Susan Leibrock, Boggy Creek Farm owners Carol Ann Sayle and Larry Butler, rum cupcakes by Jessica Maher, sausage by Jesse Griffiths, bison picadillo by Taco Deli, fresh strawberries, Austin Farmers' Market seasonal salad and vegetables and more! Local beer by Saint Arnold's Brewery and iced Zhi Tea.
