Leticia Rodriguez celebrates Mother’s Day at Esquina Tango by bringing classic boleros to share with your family. These songs, sung by Latina mother’s the world over, share Latin culture and are passed generation to generation. Their repertoire also includes bossa novas, tangos, sambas and jarocho.
Leticia Rodriguez (vocalist), Christian Fernandez (guitarist), Ed Friedland (bass),
Richard Price (horns and flute) and Steve Vidal (congas, bongos) honor mom at Austin’s best dance house in town, Esquina Tango. Bring your family to sing, dance, or sit back and listen while we share our favorite songs and stories.
Chocolate, flowers and coffee will also be served to all arriving Moms and guests!
A percentage of these proceeds will go to benefit Liam Jessin, a ten-year-old child who recently underwent a successful double lung transplant. Liam is the son of Austin teacher, dancer and friend, Lydie Jessin. For information on Liam see: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/liamjessin
