Dixie Longate, the fastest-talking Tupperware Lady south of the Mason-Dixon line, packed up her catalogues, left her children in an Alabama trailer park and took Off-Broadway by storm! Loaded with the most up-to-date products available for purchase, Ms. Longate will educate her guests (the audience) on the many alternative uses she has discovered for her plastic products. Dixie is comedy dynamite! (Recommended for mature users.)

      You might not know who Brownie Wise is, but after spending the evening with Dixie Longate you will. Quick history: Brownie Wise took Tupperware off the retail shelves, booked herself a few parties extolling it's virtues and voila! The Tupperware party was born. Out of work actor Kris Andersson did the same thing when he created his alter ego Dixie Longate and revived the Tupperware party in downright endearing Drag Queen fashion. This is NOT your grandmother's OR your mother's Tupperware party. Leave the kids at home. You'll learn that Tupperware is not just for the kitchen anymore, that the 787 is fantastic for toting your Jello shots to church, and you'll be educated on "the practice of working round the lid of a plastic bowl with both thumbs to seal it properly." This is a real live Tupperware party - visit with Dixie and place your order after the show.       Welcome to the party, a real tupperware party with games and songs. The tupperware is for sale, and it is not just bowls as Dixie is quick to frequently remind one man who had never been to a tupperware party. Dixie lovingly demonstrates her tupperware and gives tips on ways to use it you never would have thought. As Dixie said, "You wouldn't know it if I didn't show it." Dixie is a charming hostess with a quick, bawdy, and often politically incorrect wit. (seriously bawdy) There are improvisations with audience members on stage for the duration and others participating from their seats or coming to the stage after winning raffles. The show is quite funny with stories of her life and the history of tupperware along with the tips and demos. It is also touching. Dixie has a life affirming, believe in and stand up for yourself message. She sells it as well as she sells her tupperware (in the lobby at the end of the party). Collapse
