Bryson Turner won the 2009 Funniest Person in Austin Contest and today he's funnier than ever!
Mere months after arriving on the scene in Austin, Bryson is regarded as one of the best young stand-up comics in the country. What has gained the attention of VH1, Comedy Central, and clubs across the country is the vulnerability he displays onstage. Willing to share his most personal thoughts and self-discoveries with total strangers, Bryson channels a trust that the audience's mutual imperfection and self-doubts will lead to a truly cathartic bond, resulting in both laughter and a slightly revised view of everyone else around them.
Bryson first got the public speaking bug from watching his father, a pastor, and first vied for attention as the middle of three boys in their middle-class, suburban home outside of Pittsburgh. He has spent time in Ohio and Washington, DC, and now resides in - and loves - Austin, Texas. Look for his Comedy Central debut in 2010, and start following this promising artist's career on the ground floor, so you can say you saw him when.
