Arthouse, Fusebox Festival, and testperformancetest are pleased to present a performance project by artist Oliver Herring. 3 Day Weekend is both a performance and material for a live video shoot. 3 Day Weekend unfolds as a series of interactions built over the course of three days with a group of people chosen through an open application process. The actions are physical, dance related, mostly unrehearsed, and therefore unpredictable. Oliver Herring both "directs" the actions and films the footage. Initially commissioned by Performa 2009 and presented by Salon 94 in New York, Herring's work is being remade specifically for Austin.
