Texas Treasure: Inside Our Governor’s Mansion, a special exhibit at The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, offers a unique glimpse into life inside the official residence of Texas’ first families.
The exhibit chronicles 154 years at the beloved state landmark with a long and lively history—from the time of Sam Houston to Miriam Ferguson’s arrival to the ghastly blaze of 2008.
But the Mansion is much more than a historic building; it is a home, a workplace and a destination for visitors from all around the globe, showcasing Texas’ warm, Southern-style hospitality.
In that sense, Inside Our Governor’s Mansion puts much of the attention on the people who have lived, worked and visited there—stories that come alive through interactive kiosks, music and videos, and original artifacts and documents that offer many a never-before-seen look inside the people’s house of Texas.

Tickets:
Admission to the Museum’s exhibits, including Inside Our Governor’s Mansion (June 5, 2010, to August 1, 2010), is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors/military/college students (with valid ID), $4 for youth ages 5-18, and free for children ages 4 and under.
