The first-ever "Austin Shines" will bring together artists, retailers, designers, educators, and industry influencers to celebrate and encourage new and emerging jewelry design talent. We love our young jewelry designers and want to see you grow!
Austin Shines will present a day of seminars geared towards educating aspiring designers about the commercial jewelry industry. Designer Kendra Scott will deliver the keynote address starting at 12 noon, followed by a day of expert-led seminars on topics such as getting started and business basics, marketing and PR, and production & manufacturing.
Designers can submit their current jewelry collections and designs in the "Shining Star" jewelry design contest!
The contest will culminate with a celebration and winning announcement that evening, April 30th, at Eliza Page. Two Shining Star awards will be given: a "Judges' Shining Star" and a "People's Choice Shining Star."
