"Awakening to the Grand Illusion" is a multilevel performance arts production by Texas performance artist Daniel Llanes, accompanied by his musical group, For the Love Of It, which includes singers Saffron Parten, Carmen Llanes, Manuel Miller, percussionist Melanie Rose Maxwell and guest artist from Central Mexico, guitarist Alejandro Pimentel. "Awakening" is a humorous and profound commentary on this "great play of life" and the current illusion of power, abundance and what our part is in the current global / local culture and our relationship to nature and each other. Illustrated in poetry, music, theater, dance, light and sound, and with a good dose of humor and beauty, Mr. Llanes deals with many captivating themes.
