The Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, now in its thirteenth consecutive year, showcases contemporary films from North, Central, South America, the Caribbean and Spain. The nine day long annual event screens new work made by or about Latin American and indigenous people. The festival screens narrative and documentary feature and short films, as well as experimental, animation and youth films in competitive and non-competitive sections. This event is complemented with repertoire and special screenings, currently bringing an average of 100 films and 35 filmmakers from Texas, the United States, Latin America and the rest of the world to 3,500 attendees in Austin. The festival grants Jury Awards in the categories of First or Second Dramatic Feature, Documentary Feature, Dramatic Short and Documentary Short. Audience Awards are also presented for Best Documentary Feature and Best Dramatic Feature. See website for full schedule.

Tickets for individual screenings are available at the box office of each theater, and online at www.cinelasamericas.org
Single screening tickets are $6 for shows before 6 PM and $8 for shows after 6 PM
Opening and Closing Night Tickets are $10
