Learn the secrets of Dickens, Steinbeck and Billy Wilder in this master class taught by writer/director/producer Brian McDonald. This class is for screenwriters, novelists, playwrights or anyone who is telling a fictional story. This workshop is to a writer what anatomy class is to an illustrator. You will learn how to construct a story from the ground up by examining classic films and stories.Brian has taught his craft at Pixar, George Lucas’s ILM, and Disney Feature Animation. He supplies writers with tools for building a compelling story around a theme, creating appealing characters making their work more effective and providing a deeper understanding of the storyteller's art.
When people think of a screenplay, they usually think about dialogue—the "visible ink" that is readily accessible to the listener, reader, or viewer. But a successful screenplay needs Invisible Ink as well, the craft below the surface of words.
