Purbayan on Sitar is accompanied by Yogesh Samsi Purbayan has learned Sitar from his father Parthapratim Chatterjee - disciple of Pt Nikhil Banerjee and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Purbayan's music is inspired by the sound of Pt. Nikhil Banerjee. His music combines the tone and richness of the Nikhil Banerjee style and a contemporary touch of his own urbane sensitivity Is also an astounding vocalist in his own right. Has performed in many prestigious venues in his international career spanning 25 years.
