Whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur enthusiast, bring your camera and tripod to historic downtown Smithville on the second Sunday in October for the annual Texas Photo Festival. Models and backdrops will be provided in a variety of settings representing “The American Family”. Come practice your skills, test your camera’s limits, or consult with professionals on hand as you walk freely among the vignettes searching for that perfect shot. Make sure you enter your best photos in our photo contests with categories by subject and age range. For more information, visit the website www.texasphotofestival.com.

      I attended the 2009 Photo Fest in Smithville and enjoyed every moment. I participated in a photography class, the day before, taught by Doug Box and Randy Kerr and learned SO much. I couldn't wait... Expand

      I attended the 2009 Photo Fest in Smithville and enjoyed every moment. I participated in a photography class, the day before, taught by Doug Box and Randy Kerr and learned SO much. I couldn't wait to get back home and put all I learned into action. I stayed at the Katy House in Smithville and felt right at home at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. I can't wait to return this year as well! Collapse
