Most nights you can find Lucas pacing the stage speaking from the heart and slurring from the liver, which is the combination that has helped him create his unique perspective on the human condition. The things he says, though dark, sardonic, subversive, irreverent, and grim, are never malicious, and audiences are often amazed by the laughter coming out of their faces as he speaks. Lucas has used his dark humor to become one of the brightest stars in the Austin Comedy scene and one of the up and comers in the comedy world.
He has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and CNN Headline News. The Austin Chronicle says, “This guy’s destined for some kinda stardom.” And Time Out New York picked him as one of the rising stars of the 2007 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. These days you can find him unloading trucks at Macy’s.
