For about the 7th year now, SXSW has invited Reel Women, the Austin School of Film and the Austin Film Society to put together 90-minute showcases of films made made their members. It is very exciting for us to have this opportunity to participate in this awesome film event. A SXSW film badge gets you into the screenings, or you can buy a ticket at the door.
We had a record number of 41 films submitted this time, and we proud to have included 21 of them in our showcases. In the past, we've presented the same program twice, but this time we're going with two separate programs, so be sure to put BOTH of them on your calendars. Also, for the first time, we're going to have the audiences vote for their favorite film, and we'll give a prize to the filmmakers!
