Learn the art of animation from professional animator Jeanne Stern, who has created work for films, the internet, television, and education. Some of Jeanne’s short films, including “Zut-Alors,” “Sprout,” and “Piano Mouths,” have shown at SXSW, the Smithsonian, the Orlando Museum of Art, PBS, the Providence Children’s Museum, and Heather Henson’s Handmade Puppet Dreams. Jeanne earned her MFA in Film at the University of Texas at Austin. You can see Jeanne’s work at her website: jeannestern.com. This introductory class in animation will cover the 12 principles of animation and utilize these principles in a variety of animation exercises. Each student will create an animation short film using traditional hand drawn techniques and FLASH. No prior animation experience required. All finished projects will be screened at our annual Loud & Clear Film Festival!
