After a student is raped, her teacher murders the rapist. Even though he is a hero of sorts, the man doesn’t want his act publicized, so a thief who needs to hide a large cache of money simply blackmails the teacher into holding the loot. Since he has already gone down a questionable path of amorality, the teacher takes the money and descends into enjoying every possible sensual urge. This film highlights Oshima’s exploration of sadism, porn, and obsession.
