They’re not from Austin but they should be! Beatlegras is not another Beatle impersonator act but three singer/musicians (with 5 platinum albums between them) who love the Beatles and bring a very organic interpretation of the Lennon/McCartney catalog through the magical world of bluegrass. While the tight harmonies are very reminiscent of the Fab Four, the solos soar with the influences of Mark O’Connor, Tony Rice and Edgar Meyer. Throw in a little out of the box thinking like Bela Fleck, and you’ve got Beatlegras. BBC radio host Ralph McLean says- ”Beatlegras is brilliant! If I had a mop top, I’d be shakin’ it...” Krys Boyd of NPR- “When a cover band approaches the original material with a style and sensibility all its own, they can establish themselves as artists in their own right, building on existing material to create something entirely fresh and unexpected...that's what their fans rave about"..
