BookPeople Literary Camps and Alamo Drafthouse are teaming up to kick the forces of evil in the teeth. We need your help to do it. Here's how you can do your part - bring your friends and family and come have fun with us!

For those of you that don't know, this movie is based on the incredibly popular "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series by local San Antonio author Rick Riordan. Camp Half-Blood is a BookPeople Literary Camp based within the world of this series. If you haven't read it, I highly encourage you to check it out!

The Battle Plan:

-Buy your ticket using the link above. Be sure to do this soon because the tickets will go quickly!
-If your demigod has been to Camp Half-Blood before, encourage him/her to wear their camp shirt.
-BookPeople Literary Camp Counselors and Counselors-In-Training will arrive at the theater at 9:30 p.m. The festivities will start at 10:00 p.m.

Recipe for defeating the bad guys:

-Take part in phalanx training at the theater. Please have your demigod(s) leave their swords at home. We'll bring some that we can put away once the movie starts.
-Consult with the God Hermes about any future you may have.
-Take a photo with Mr. D. but try not to make him angry - unless you want to go home as a dolphin.
-Strike a pose in the Camp Half-Blood chariot.
-Catch up with your favorite Camp Counselors and fellow campers.
-Enjoy a special menu of Percy Jackson treats during the movie.
-Camp tee-shirts and Percy Jackson books will be available to purchase courtesy of BookPeople.
-Enjoy the movie!

This event is not exclusive to Camp Half-Blood demigods - it is open to the public and all of your friends, family, and loved ones. So don't forget to invite all your friends, buy your tickets online, and come ready to fight some bad guys and have a blast!
