Marc Witmer, jazz pianist and arranger, is a classically trained pianist who discovered jazz, fusion, and funk while in high school. His B.A. in music composition and master’s in music theory were both earned at the University of Texas in Austin. He assisted Tom Jeannett for nine years at Crosspointe Church, bringing jazz style to the contemporary worship service, then became full time worship director at Crosspointe for four years. Currently he plays meditative piano music at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, specializing in Christian music with jazz interpretations.
Tom Jeannett, sax and woodwinds, has played professionally for over 25 years and has traveled worldwide as woodwind player, backup singer and band spokesman. He has studied with Harry Medema, musical director of the O’Jays and Jazz professor at Indiana University, and Jim Anderson, featured saxophone soloist with Woody Herman’s Big Band. Tom is currently on the worship staff at Hill Country Bible Church.
