Austin's newest TV Show announces a weekly viewing party for fans every Sunday at Austin's coolest new lounge, Iron Gate on East 6th Street. The viewing party will begin at 10pm, an hour before the show's weekly 11pm broadcast slot. Attendees of the free event can watch the Austin Variety Show's Sunday broadcast on a giant screen outdoors (weather permitting). For inclement weather, the viewing party will move inside.
The Austin Variety Show showcases Austin's best comedy, music, burlesque, and features audience participation games hosted by Troy Dillinger and Tom Booker. The show's variety show format recalls the diversity and simplicity of the vaudeville era while repackaging it in a current format with a low-budget "gonzo" atmosphere. The show will be shopped for national syndication in Spring 2010.
