Considering the staggering influence of his music over the past 40 years, it is no overstatement to call Chick Corea one of the most prominent musicians of the 20th century. From avant-garde to bebop, from straight-ahead to hard-hitting fusion, he has touched an astonishing number of musical genres, setting a standard of excellence that is unparalleled. Between his solo career, his partnerships with John McLaughlin and Bela Fleck and his legendary group Return to Forever, Corea has been nominated for 51 GRAMMY Awards and has won 15.
