The Independent will host Wild is The Wind, the second annual Nina Simone tribute created by Bemba Entertainment. On this very special evening, a tribute to the legend, Nina Simone, will take place in front of a limited audience. On this date, she will have turned 77. A “dress to impress” style is preferred but not required.
Seven carefully chosen artists from the Austin area will pay tribute to the High Priestess of Soul. Although different in style, they all share something very important, in common.) That is, that they have all been influenced by Nina Simone and they each have a very special place in their hearts for her.
