For the past ten years, almost every Saturday night at the Hideout Theatre has been Maestro -- elimination-style improv comedy. This January, for the first time ever, the creator of Maestro (and wide swaths of modern improv comedy and theater) is visiting Austin. Fifteen of Austin's virtuoso improvisers will play games and scenes which are scored by you the audience. After each round we eliminate the low-scoring players, the show gets better and by the end one player emerges victorious from the climax of hilarity. The winner is awarded the title of Maestro and presented the coveted Canadian five-dollar bill. We're testing the limits of improv, exploring the theater and comedy that amuses and inspires you.Come see the improv that Austin is raving about with the guy that started it all.
