Habit is a new play by Robert Minshew, dealing with themes of addiction, obligation, and the gut-wrenching pain of combining two lives. Timothy is down to his last five cigarettes. Moving to a new home, however, dredges up his past with his wife Jane, and complicates the task of quitting. Starring Andrew Black as Timothy and Lisa-Nicole Lenger as Jane. Directed by Josh Nanninga.

      Short plays, like short films, can often be more effective than their longer counterparts, and "Habit" demonstrates this. What really struck me about the play was how the husband and wife get into an... Expand

      Short plays, like short films, can often be more effective than their longer counterparts, and "Habit" demonstrates this. What really struck me about the play was how the husband and wife get into an intense screaming match, and yet the audience never gets the idea that that it is pointless- the "right" and "wrong" side aren't very clear. They are eventually able to come to a resolution, which I won't spoil. Not sure if it's still playing at this point, but if so, I recommend it, and if not, I hope it plays again at some point.
