Making Movies, an exhibition at the Harry Ransom Center, explores the collaborative processes that take place behind the scenes in filmmaking. Featuring more than 350 items, the exhibition draws on the Ransom Center's extensive holdings documenting the history of the motion picture industry to illustrate the highly collaborative nature of the movie-making process. The exhibition focuses on the artistic collaboration that is unique to the medium.
Highlights include original scripts, storyboards, production photos, and call sheets, in addition to screenplays from The Third Man, North by Northwest, and Shakespeare in Love, and costumes from Gone with the Wind, An Affair to Remember, and Taxi Driver.
