A presentation of Philadelphia's "fiendishly inventive" Headlong Dance Theatre. In More, Headlong imagines a dance of our bodies after our bodies have gone away. In an ever-shifting landscape, a house is built, dismantled, and built up again. Rooms morph into sculptures strewn with bodies. And a horse-field of green appears from nowhere. Through it all, a furious lament of disappearing bodies tears across a domestic world of microwaves and Doris Day songs. Two years in the making, Headlong uprooted their 16-year collaborative approach to create More, the company's most intense and gripping work to date.
Headlong is presented in Austin by Dance Umbrella.
