This performance will captivate your imagination and touch you deeply. We have assembled an all-star international cast of dancers to bring you a new world-class dance event in Austin that will move and inspire you.
During the two week residency period, these artists will be sharing their gifts with the Austin community not only through the performance, but also through surrounding events, including open rehearsals and demonstrations. This will provide the opportunity for all involved, audience, artists, and fans, a chance to learn and grow together.

Such a small company-such big accomplishments!
Voice Dance Company dancers are big on talent,
skill, and ability. It was an effective blend of
classical technique and modern expression.
The dances evoked every emotion from giddiness
to depression. The men were strong, lifting the
women making them look weightless. Each made it
look easy to execute the intricate choreography.
Each brought his or her own personality to their
work. The pas de deux were especially complex.
The choreography was demanding yet evocative,
showing the tenderness and brutality of
relationships.
“My Witness” was the work danced in the second
half of the program. Sons Of The Never Wrong
performed live. The focus was on relationships,
traveling from the bliss of love to the agony of
separation.
During the question/answer period after the
performance, Gina Patterson to a question about
what a certain piece meant, she said, “It is more
about the feeling.” It was beautiful.

Opening with an iPod dance, the evening is snap,
crackle and pop. Gina Patterson's new dance
company, Voice, is not afraid of sensuality either.
She's explores deep erotic imaginings, our
longings, our innate sexiness as humans with a
deeply embodied and jubilant spirit. Bodies caress,
croon, and collide in whimsical fashion. The
evening makes you feel lucky to be human--and
alive.
Gina Patterson's Voice Dance Company is down
home Austin with cosmopolitan flare. Her dancers
come from around the world dance and dance to
the live band music and harmonious vocalists. The
combined synergy right on this up-close and
personal stage makes for a magical and intimate
evening. It's not academic dance; it's dance out of
the box.
Bravo, Gina, glad you're a homegirl. You had the
audience laughing, sighing, and awing. That's why
we go out for theatre and sit in seats--to get up
and realize we're bigger than we ever realized. I'll
take my boyfriend to your next show!
