PROMISED LAND is the story of one queer Latino boy's search for love, liberation, and a working toilet in the Tennessee woods. After years spent looking for romance in the wilderness of San Francisco, Austin perfomer Rudy Ramirez traveled to Radical Fairyland, a haven for the queerest of the queer in the Appalachian mountains. The next 24 hours changed his life forever. Now he's taking audiences with him (don't worry, it's only an hour this time) to experience the vegan pot pie dinners, radical queer ninjas, freezing cabins, mountains covered in vanilla frosting, a store called Gay Identities 'r' Us, and, most terrifying of all, outhouses. It's a story of finding yourself--and maybe even someone to make out with--in the most unlikely of places.
