Perhaps best know for his Cannes and Sundance screened feature film ROOM, Kyle Henry has been working as a filmmaker for over 15 years. As a former programmer for Blue Theater’s Bluescreen series, he extremely excited to be part of SVT’s foray into micro-cinema terrain!

UNIVERSITY INC., is about the corporatization of higher education at the University of Texas-Austin, centering on the controversial closing of the longest running campus repertory film series there in 1999. It began as a segment on international film guru John Pierson’s much heralded IFC/Bravo cable show SPLITSCREEN.

AMERICAN COWBOY  is about gay rodeo champ and Houston native Gene Mikulenka’s wild adversity filled year long journey to the International Gay Rodeo Finals in Albuquerque, NM. This screening is graciously co-sponsored by aGLIFF, Austin’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
