The Plagiarists: Improvised Plays in Many Styles
November 5-December 17, 2009
Add Review/Comment
Good artists borrow. Great artists steal. On Thursdays starting in November, some great improvisers will steal from the greatest possible playwrights in The Plagiarists. Five actors will work together, each in their own author style, to form a never-before-seen improvised play.
Imagine the underlying sexual tensions of Tennessee Williams crossing paths with the overwhelming neuroses of Neil Simon; the familial dysfunction of Sam Shepard mixed with the blatant disregard for taboos of Christopher Durang; the absurdism of Samuel Beckett blended with the meta-theatrics of Bertolt Brecht and the internal struggles of Anton Chekhov.
