The creators of the highly acclaimed play The Laramie Project, which since 2000 has been one of the most performed plays in America, will premiere a compelling and groundbreaking epilogue to the original piece. ZACH Theatre, who produced the Austin premiere of The Laramie Project in 2002, will represent Austin in this national theatre project by staging The Epilogue on its Whisenhunt stage. All proceeds will benefit OutYouth.

      I wish I more time to write this review. I went to see the show not knowing what to expect. I'd heard of but never seen or read the original Laramie project. I saw the performance in the Lab Theater at the University of Texas. The show is wonderful, even if you're unfamiliar with the first play. At UT it was performed in a staged reading format. I liked this choice because the words are vivid enough to entertain, without needing the distraction of sets, makeup, and costume to make it more real. Especially with the recent march on Washington, this play is more relevant than ever. It does a good job of presenting the varying opinions of the people living in Laramie. I would recommend this show to anyone, however, it does go on for about 2 hours. The show is very cohesive, though perhaps a little long winded. Collapse

      I wish I more time to write this review. I went to see the show not knowing what to expect. I'd heard of but never seen or read the original Laramie project.
