Jacques Brel was a Belgian singer-songwriter whose songs have been extensively translated and performed by singers as diverse as David Bowie, Ray Charles, Barbara Streisand, Judy Collins, Nina Simone, Dusty Springfield, and Frank Sinatra! The timeless beauty of his musics and lyrics create an unforgettably moving evening at the theatre. Brel's music has a universal appeal as it tackles love, death, and all of life’s wonderful struggles.
Jacques Brel features an incredible ensemble of Austin's finest musical theatre performers including Nathan Brockett, Boni Hester, Huck Huckaby, Corley Pillsbury, Rick Roemer, and Gretchen Weihe. The musical is directed by Don Toner with costumes by Buffy Manners, and lighting design by Don Day.
