      I'm glad I had the opportunity to see this excellent play performed here in Austin. The subject matter is heavy but the overall effect of the play (and arc of the characters) is hopeful. The oft-dysfunctional family dynamics are portrayed with wit and humor and the cast put on a convincing and moving performance. I will recommend to my friends that they see this production. Collapse

      While the subject of David Lindsay- Abaire's Pulitzer-prize-winning play is weighty, the controlled, earnest performances by the City Theatre cast provide a rich experience that resists melodrama and springs humor at just the right moments. It's no surprise that Rachel McGinnis and David Meissner give excellent performances opposite each other, but the brief moments with Michael Schnick's Jason are extraordinary. Austin is blessed to have such a strong ensemble to bring to life this beautiful script for us. Don't miss it! Collapse
