82nd Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival

Hundreds of kites will dance in the sky the first Sunday in March at the Zilker Park Kite Festival. It's fun, family and FREE. Everyone is welcome whether they fly a kite or just to enjoy the spectacle. Exhibits and Kite flying demonstrations will be held all day. Delicious food of all kinds will be prepared fresh at the event and we’ll have moonwalks, rock climbing and games for the kids. Compete in the free kite contest with your home made kite. Vendor sales benefit non-profit organizations working to break the cycle of child abuse. Come on down to Zilker Park and enjoy “Kite Day” - an event that is uniquely "Austintatious" since 1929. Rain date is one week later.
