The Vagina Monologues, By Eve Ensler Directed by Karen Jambon, and featuring Julianna Elizabeth Wright, Jennifer Underwood and Andreá Smith .

Special musical performances during each show by Austin artists:

 OperationOF is an Austin-based, social nonprofit, helping women in sub-Saharan Africa and eastern Asia, who have been marginalized by their communities and ostracized by their families because they suffer from Obstetric Fistula. He and his group work tirelessly to help these women get the surgery they need, in addition to teaching them a skill, and providing them with micro-finance, so they may return to their lives with a renewed sense of self-worth. 100% of the proceeds from the production of The Vagina Monologues will benefit OperationOF.

      Rest assured that your knowledge of the "down theres" will triple. This is a night that will have you laughing, crying, and learning more than you thought you needed to know about vaginas.... Expand

      Rest assured that your knowledge of the "down theres" will triple. This is a night that will have you laughing, crying, and learning more than you thought you needed to know about vaginas. Preceding the show, we are introduced to Operation OF--an organization that aids women who are suffering from obstetric fistulas. All proceeds are going to the cause. And if you don't know what an obstetric fistula is (I didn't), check out the site: www.operationof.org. If for no other reason than to support the charity, you should see this show. But the actors & live music featured will give you many, many more reasons to attend. Highlights: Jennifer Underwood delivers a heart-breaking and humorous story of a mature woman who has closed down access after an embarrassing sexual experience early in life. Julianna Wright militantly defends a woman's natural scent with brilliant comedic timing. And Andrea Smith heats up the room with her sex worker's dictionary of orgasm moans. Collapse
